Can you hear my giant sigh of relief? After a brief stop in Charleston to see my sister JiT drove us 16 hours straight through to Rockford on Sunday. Our heads are still spinning a bit…Lillian is totally out of her element and not sleeping through the night right now…but we’re getting our bags settled for a bit at my parents house.

Life is upside down and the baby is out of sorts but it feels so good to be here. Even though I was awake all night with the baby, my mom was here to take her for a bit this afternoon while I napped. That is a luxury I am grateful for. Family. And Fall leaves. And scarves.

JiT will be heading back to Miami next week to close things out down there but I’m getting the rest of us settled here for awhile. We’ll be house hunting in Chicago (wish us luck) and coordinating move details but beyond that we’re just enjoying Family, Friends and Fall.

Enjoy the househunting. If you are back in the city some time and game for coffee or lunch I'd love to meet the little one.

I'm with Kelly. I'm here all weekend if that time happens to be then. Because I would love that. I would totally make you a pie.

It's a MIRACLE! My entire family LOVED this pasta and asked for seconds. Yours will too! All you need is one pot, 6 ingredients and about 30 minutes to create this magical One Pot Garlic Parmesan Pasta.
