Sweet Home Chicago

That’s right…we’re moving back home! We’ve had some fun adventures (and some not so fun ones) here in Miami but it never really felt like home and we’ve really missed our friends and family. I guess we’re just Midwesterners at heart. Lucky for us, JiTs company has been wanting to move his account to their Chicago office. When they approached him with the opportunity we jumped at the chance. They’d like us to move back to Illinois by November (!!) so things are suddenly moving very fast. We’re planning to buy a house somewhere in Chicagoland (we’ve been renting here in FL but we’re eager to finally put down roots) so we need to get the househunting process started as soon as possible. Lilly, Zoey and I will be leaving Miami at the end of next week heading to my parents’ house in Rockford. Meanwhile JiT will be driving us up, then commuting back and forth between Miami/Chicago/Detroit until the move is final. We’re hoping to be fully moved and settled in by Christmas. We shall see. It’s going to be a bit of a whirlwind but we’re excited to get back. It took moving a thousand miles away for us to realize it, but Chicago is truly our Sweet Home.

For those of you in Illinois — Lillian can’t WAIT to meet you!
