Guest post: Wedding Recap Part One

Greetings everyone! My name is Jessica (aka Bayjb) and I write for Everyday Adventures.
Our lovely, newlywed author asked me to guest blog for her while she’s gone. So what should we talk about? Uh the wedding maybe? Okay! Let’s go!
As you know, my lovely friend Rebecca is now a married woman and I was so fortunate to be invited to her wedding Saturday night. And in true RC fashion, it was a beautiful occasion, blue shoes and all. Unseasonably cool temps and rain wouldn’t stop the celebration and merriment and everyone had an amazing time.
A few of us will be posting wedding recaps here, while she and JiT are in St. Lucia (jealous!), so for my post, I wanted to share a photo I took at the wedding and tell you why a) it makes me laugh and b) captures Rebecca completely.

I love this picture because it shows the Rebecca I know and adore. She’s fun, carefree and always smiling (beer optional.)
I’ve known Rebecca for more than two years and let’s just say, when we first met, we were a little oil/water. We’re very similar and think the other can be a little neurotic/ridiculous about some things. She thinks I’m crazy for my candy sneaking tendencies at the movies and I think she’s crazy for some of her June Cleaver-like tendencies. So we’re like the Odd Couple, but we make it work. And I’m so glad I could share in her special day.
The food was amazing (as expected!) Appetizers included mini pot pies, caprese skewers and battered shrimp and the main dish was incredible too. Perfectly cooked spiced chicken with vegetables, chilled pea soup with bacon wafer. NUM. And of course, why pick one cake when you could have six mini wedding cakes? The mango and strawberry shortcake were my favorites. So moist and perfect to devour.
Everything from food, to decor, to place settings was perfect and had Rebecca’s touches all over. And of course, she was absolutely beautiful and flowing (see above picture again for proof.)
Oh and an example of one of her “touches” is the most creative dinner placecard/don’t-touch-my-drink cards ever. EVER.
Thanks Rebecca for keeping me safe from roofies at your wedding 🙂 You are always looking out for me!
And we’re going to “hug it out” when you get back. Be ready!

Oh man, I love that drink card! I wish I knew creative people when I was getting married (my wedding was great, just not creative). I think I’ll make Dan renew our vows just so I can a party with cute stuff too….

I cannot believe that she kept the puppies in the way that girl was dancing. And apparently there wasn’t even any tape. Amazing. I’m up next 🙂

It's a MIRACLE! My entire family LOVED this pasta and asked for seconds. Yours will too! All you need is one pot, 6 ingredients and about 30 minutes to create this magical One Pot Garlic Parmesan Pasta.
These Blueberry Lemonade Popsicles could not be simpler to make using Karviva Ace Recovery Juice as the base. They are tasty, refreshing and incredibly hydrating on a hot summer day.
This mocktail combines Karuna Viva Whole Plant Juice with fresh strawberries, pomegranate and mint for a refreshing, not-too-sweet summertime sipper you'll love.
This Beef and Edamame Ramen Stir Fry is ready in less than 30 minutes, perfect for picky eaters and easy to adapt with different veggie combinations.
This hearty, vegetarian White Bean Stew combines hearty comfort food with bright spring flavors.
Whether you're exploring new cultures or just looking for something new to try, Easy Chinese Hot Pot is a fun experience for the whole family.
